The Deflection and Harm Reduction Program provides post-overdose recovery support, treatment referrals, naloxone distribution, and community education to reduce substance use stigma and promote harm reduction throughout Lake County.

In-School Programming

Since 1994, Nicasa Behavioral Health Services has provided evidence-based in-school prevention programs to empower Lake County youth, currently focusing on the Too Good For Drugs curriculum to teach decision-making, communication, and resisting negative influences.

Mundelein STAND-UP Task Force Coalition

The Mundelein STAND-UP Task Force is a coalition of community members from 14 sectors working together to promote the health, safety, and well-being of Mundelein youth by preventing substance use, violence, and other risky behaviors.

Teen Court

Teen Court offers first- and second-time non-violent youth offenders an alternative to the traditional justice system, where peer juries determine sentences focused on restorative justice. Designed for youth aged 10 to 18, the program allows participants to avoid a court record through community service and educational tasks, supporting their rehabilitation and positive development.

We are committed to fostering healthier, safer communities through innovative prevention and support services. Whether you’re looking to get involved with youth programs, community coalitions, or harm reduction initiatives, we have a place for you.
